About Dewobroto Adhiwignyo

Dewobroto is a multidisciplinary architect and urban designer with an academic background in architecture, interior design, and urban design. His professional work combines architectural design, urban planning, research, and project coordination, with an interest in how buildings and urban environments respond to their cultural, social, and environmental contexts. With more than eight years of professional experience as an architect, urban designer, researcher, and university lecturer, his portfolio encompasses public-sector projects, residential architecture, urban development, and master planning. His professional and academic development has been recognized through several awards and achievements, including an Erasmus+ scholarship, recognition as one of the top graduates in Architecture at Parahyangan Catholic University, third place in the Sinarmas Land Young Architect Competition, and selection among the top 25 finalists in the urban planning competition for Indonesia’s new capital city from hundreds of submissions.

Dewobroto holds an M.Sc. in Urban Design from Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU) Cottbus–Senftenberg, Germany, as well as two bachelor’s degrees: a B.Arch. in Architecture from Parahyangan Catholic University (Unpar), Indonesia, and a B.Des. in Interior Design from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Indonesia. His academic work has focused on urban morphology, cultural identity, public space, and the revitalization of historic city districts. He is also a professional member of both the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI) and the Indonesian Institute of Urban Designers (IARKI).

Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Dewobroto enjoys exploring different cultures and expanding his knowledge through travel, art, literature, and film. In his leisure time, he enjoys drawing and sketching, watching films, and reading philosophy. He speaks Indonesian as his native language, as well as English and German fluently, with basic proficiency in Spanish.
