Football has a way of turning a school field into a meeting point. On 31 October 2026, the German Plus community returned to Deutsche Schule Jakarta for the 3rd Annual German Plus Football Tournament, and Noble Asia was glad to be part of it again.
The theme on the day was simple: more than a match. Teams came to compete, families came to watch and spend time together, and the community came to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.

On the pitch
The first whistle blew at 08.00 WIB, and matches ran on the grass pitch at DSJ through the day, with the familiar mix of committed tackles, quick counter-attacks and plenty of encouragement from the sidelines.
Fifteen teams took part this year, bringing together school sides, club academies, company teams and community groups:
Guest teams 1. DSJ 2. DSJ 2 3. JIS 4. Japan 5. Allianz 6. Vikings 7. Vikings 2 8. Do It 9. France 10. Borussia Academy 11. Inter Jakarta 12. Tonos Allstars
German Plus teams – G+ – Mannschaft
Open entry – Centro
With two DSJ sides and a JIS team in the draw, the tournament once again gave international school players the chance to line up against club and community teams, while teams such as Japan and France added to the international mix.
The 2026 champions: DSJ
The home side took the title. DSJ, the team from host school Deutsche Schule Jakarta, were crowned champions of the 3rd Annual German Plus Football Tournament, winning on their own pitch in front of a home crowd of families, supporters and fellow players.
The day ended with the trophy presentation under the tent beside the pitch, where the DSJ players lifted the cup in their yellow kit. Congratulations to DSJ, and to every team that took part. As the closing line of the event reel puts it: that’s the spirit.
Off the pitch
The tournament is as much about the people around the pitch as the players on it. The Family Fun Day and flea market returned for 2026. A covered area beside the field hosted stalls and booths, giving families somewhere to browse, eat and stay out of the sun between matches, while children and parents moved between the market and the sidelines throughout the day.
For many expatriate families in Jakarta, events like this are where a new city starts to feel like home. Parents meet other parents, children make friends across schools, and newcomers find people who have already worked through the same questions about housing, schools and daily life.
Why Noble Asia supports German Plus
Noble Asia works with expatriates and international families every day, from finding a home to settling into a new routine in Jakarta. As one of the main sponsors of the 2026 tournament, alongside AGS, Stube and Bali Hai Brewing Co, we were proud to back the event again. Supporting community events such as this is one way we stay close to the people we serve, outside the usual property viewings and meetings.
Being at DSJ also connects naturally with our work. Many of the families we help are choosing a neighbourhood with school access in mind, and community days at international schools give us a clearer picture of what matters to them.
“Days like this are what community in Jakarta looks like. Fifteen teams, families on the sidelines and people from many countries sharing one pitch. Congratulations to DSJ, and thank you to German Plus for bringing everyone together again. Noble Asia is proud to be part of it.”
