Universal School Open Day & Interactive Expo 2026: Where Learning Comes to Life

Universal School Open Day

Universal School Jakarta welcomed families and prospective parents to Open Day & Interactive Expo 2026 on 3 October, offering an inside look at the learning experience, academic pathway, and student achievements that shape life at Universal School.

At the heart of the event was the Universal School Interactive Expo 2026, where students across different grade levels brought their learning beyond the classroom through creative projects, hands-on activities, technology, science, entrepreneurship, and real-world problem-solving.

From environmental and community-focused projects in Grades 1–3, to creative problem-solving in Grades 4–7, and STEAM, technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation in Grades 8–12, the Expo demonstrated how students are encouraged to move from learning concepts to applying them in meaningful ways.

Exploring Science, Technology & Innovation

Science and technology were among the key highlights of the Expo, reflecting Universal School’s commitment to developing future-ready learners.

Students were given opportunities to explore scientific concepts, experiment with ideas, develop solutions, and present their thinking. For older students, this learning extends into STEAM and technology-based projects that connect academic knowledge with practical applications.

This approach is supported by Universal School’s learning environment, which includes Cambridge Certified Science Laboratories and dedicated technology and digital learning spaces designed to support hands-on exploration and practical learning.

Rather than simply learning about science and technology from textbooks, students are encouraged to investigate, question, create, and understand how knowledge can be applied to real-world challenges.

A Cambridge Full-Pathway from Early Years to A Levels

The Open Day also gave families an opportunity to discover one of Universal School’s key strengths: its Cambridge Full-Pathway, providing continuity from Early Years through Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and Cambridge International AS & A Levels.

This pathway allows students to progressively develop their academic knowledge, critical thinking, independent learning, research, and problem-solving skills as they move through each stage.

At the Upper Secondary level, students enter the Cambridge IGCSE pathway, followed by AS and A Levels, where they can pursue subjects aligned with their interests, strengths, and future university aspirations.

Academic Excellence That Continues Beyond the Expo

The student projects showcased at Open Day are part of a broader academic culture at Universal School.

Recent Cambridge examination achievements further demonstrate this commitment to academic excellence. Universal School’s IGCSE, AS Level, and A Level top-performing students account for more than 50% of the students who sat these examinations, reflecting the strong academic potential within the school community.

These achievements complement the school’s strong Cambridge Checkpoint performance. In the May 2026 assessments, 77 students across Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary achieved 40 perfect subject scores, with school averages exceeding the Cambridge international average in English, Mathematics, and Science.

Together, these results highlight a learning journey that begins with strong foundations and continues through increasingly rigorous Cambridge qualifications.
